Lake liming planned for 11 October at Mögsjön and Flensjön
Katrineholm Municipality plans to lime Lake Mögsjön and Lake Flensjön by helicopter on 11 October to counter acidification and restore the lakes’ pH levels.

The quality report for 2025–2026 shows strong results in preschool class and several upper-secondary programmes, but also that more pupils need support when moving between school stages.
Hela förskolan läser starts 1 October — goal is 25,000 books
Throughout October, every book read at home with children in Katrineholm’s preschools counts. If the municipality meets the challenge, guardians will together reach 100,000 books read since the project began.
Week 40: rules for burning garden waste in planned areas
In detail-planned areas, garden waste may be burned in weeks 17 and 40. The municipality reminds residents to compost, use recycling centres and respect fire bans when risk is high.
Mulle Run invites children to a woodland race at Ramsjöhult
On 26 September, Ramsjöhult hosts the Mulle Run. Children tackle a course of about one kilometre, with a shared warm-up from 10:45.
Djulö wetland opens 5 September — what the new nature site will offer
Saturday 5 September, 11:00–16:00, Katrineholm Municipality inaugurates the wetland at Djulö allé. The site is being built for stormwater and recreation — free admission, no registration.
