Play trail in Nävertorp invites you to move
Colourful markings, balance beams and playful prompts aim to make everyday movement more fun in Nävertorp. Communications officers Maja Edsö and Josefin Lundin received SEK 200,000 in innovation funding from the municipal management group to realise the idea.
The play trail has painted hopscotch, dots, balance lines and animal tracks, plus a balance loop with wooden equipment between start and finish portals. Run, roll or walk at your own pace, or challenge a friend. Small tasks are placed along the route.
Work began in week 41 along parts of Nävertorpsgatan and through Nävertorpsparken and was completed in week 43. The project grew out of Katrineholm’s work as a Pep municipality and is meant to invite children and adults to move more in the urban environment.
