Apply for national travel assistance in time for Christmas and New Year trips

Many people apply for national travel assistance ahead of the Christmas and New Year holidays. To allow enough processing time, applications need to arrive well in advance.

Applications for national travel assistance for Christmas and New Year travel must be received by Friday 20 November 2026. The service covers trips to municipalities outside Södermanland County.

The municipality recommends avoiding the busiest days, 22–26 December, if possible.
