The week in Katrineholm: jazz, free concerts and the start of Katrineholm Week
Week 31 starts with the last free evening in Stadsparken before week 32 takes over with festival, markets and Pride — here is what was on last week and what is ahead.
This week in brief
Late July brings one more quiet music evening in Stadsparken before Katrineholm Week kicks off on 1 August. Julita Festival and jazz day are behind us — while Pride and the full town festival wait around the corner in week 32.

What happened 20–26 July
Monday 20 July had a free concert in Stadsparken on the programme — Löpsjötorparns, Pripps Grön and Lennart Johansson per the municipal music-evening page. We were not on site; the evening was part of ABF Sörmland’s summer series with free admission.
Saturday 25 July hosted the Katrineholm Jazz and Blues Festival at Stora Djulö Herrgård. The organiser’s programme listed bands from 13:00, with Stengård Big Band as the last daytime act at 16:30 and Blue Benders at 20:00. We report from the source, not from the audience.
Sunday 26 July had no separate verified calendar entries in municipal or festival programmes beyond ongoing summer activities such as Hittaut. The week ended relatively quietly after jazz day.

Coming up 27 July–2 August
Monday 27 July is the next free concert in Stadsparken at 19:00–20:30 — Löpsjötorparns, Kire Ljung and Ellen & Matilda. Bring a blanket; admission is free per the municipality.
Saturday 1 August Katrineholm Week begins. The programme at katrineholmsveckan.se lists among other things a car-boot sale at Djulö at 09:00, association day from 09:00 and Julita Festival at Julita gård at 17:00 (ticketed). Värmbols FC play a friendly at home at 11:00 the same day per SvenskaLag.
Sunday 2 August the week is officially opened with motor day and drifting at Katrineholm Logistikcenter at 16:00 per Katrineholms Motorklubb. The programme also lists Ceres Gravel at 11:00 the same day.
Week 32 (from 3 August) brings the next free park evening, continued Katrineholm Week and Katrineholm Pride 6–7 August — more in next week’s roundup.

Monday evening: free concert in Stadsparken — arrive early if you want a good spot on the grass. No ticket needed.
Weekend 1–2 August: choose between second-hand shopping (car-boot sale), chamber music at Julita (advance ticket) or the opening drifting at Logistikcenter Sunday afternoon. Combine with the rest of Katrineholm Week via katrineholmsveckan.se.
