Julita Christmas market 2026 – plan your visit

Julita gård hosts its Christmas market on 23–25 October. Find opening hours, admission, tickets and practical advice for your journey and visit.

· Details checked 3 October 2026

The Christmas market at Julita gård starts early: from 23 to 25 October 2026, the estate welcomes craft sellers, food producers and visitors looking for Christmas gifts. Allow time to browse, pick up something for Advent and stop for coffee rather than treating it as a quick shopping stop.

This guide covers choosing a day, buying tickets and planning your journey around the estate.

Choose a day that suits your plans

The market opens on Friday 23 October from 11:00 to 18:00, Saturday 24 October from 10:00 to 18:00 and Sunday 25 October from 10:00 to 16:00.

Saturday offers the longest opening hours. Friday works for an afternoon outing, while Sunday calls for an earlier start if you want to browse without watching the clock.

Stalls are spread across different buildings. Make your visit a walk around the estate, with time for shopping and breaks. Follow the market signs to avoid overlooking stalls beyond the first buildings.

Admission and tickets

Admission is SEK 100 per person. Children under 12 enter free when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Two adults visiting with children under 12 therefore pay SEK 200 in admission.

Julita gård says you can pay on arrival. The organiser, Svenska Slottsmässor, lists cards and cash as accepted payment methods and also links to online tickets through Nortic. To buy ahead, select your visiting day on the ticket page and check the total before paying.

Crafts, food and café breaks

The market is organised by Svenska Slottsmässor. Crafts include woodwork, ceramics, textiles and jewellery, while food stalls offer products such as cheese, fish, cured meats and sweets. Check the organiser’s website for the current exhibitor list.

It helps to decide what you are looking for before setting off: a present, an Advent decoration or food to take home. Bring a shopping bag to keep your purchases together.

Julita gård’s event page also advertises café refreshments during the market. Plan a break between rounds of the stalls instead of trying to see everything at once.

Getting there and parking

The address is Julita gård, 643 98 Julita. The estate stands beside Lake Öljaren, about 25 kilometres from Katrineholm.

Parking is free during the Christmas fair, according to both the organiser and Julita gård’s event page. This event-specific information applies to the market weekend. Follow the parking directions on arrival.

If you travel by public transport, check the journey for your chosen date. Julita gård refers visitors to Sörmlandstrafiken and says the nearest stop outside the main season is Äsköping, about 1.5 kilometres from the estate. Look up both outward and return journeys; do not assume summer services to the entrance run during the October weekend.

Pushchairs and accessibility

Julita gård describes its gravel paths as accessible with pushchairs and wheelchairs. Some buildings have a level entrance or a ramp, but the entire estate is not adapted for step-free access. Accessible toilets and parking spaces are available near the entrance building.

If you need wheelchair access to particular parts of the market, ask the organiser about this year’s stall locations. The estate’s general accessibility information describes the site, rather than the exact market layout.

For families, warm clothes, comfortable shoes and time for breaks are a useful starting point. Visiting involves moving between buildings even though some stalls are indoors.

Before you set off

Check the organiser’s latest information shortly before your visit. Choose your day, check your return journey and dress for October weather. Our event listing lets you save the market dates to your calendar.
