Julita Festival: Ricardo Vila & Alfredo Oyaguez
Closing Julita Festival evening with saxophone and piano in Skansenmuseet. Ticket required — see julitagard.se for advance booking and remaining seats.
On Saturday 8 August 2026 the Julita Festival closes at Julita gård — the summer series of chamber music in Skansenmuseet that has run every Saturday since 11 July. The evening is the last date in this year’s programme and suits anyone who wants international chamber music in a historic setting by Lake Öljaren, about 25 kilometres west of Katrineholm.
On stage are saxophonist Ricardo Vila and pianist Alfredo Oyaguez, a Spanish duo whose programme the organiser describes as folk and film music. The repertoire includes works by Gershwin and Shostakovich, music by Astor Piazzolla and film scores by John Williams — a wide range combining classical chamber music with cinematic and Latin American colours.
The concert starts at 17:00 and runs until around 18:30. The organiser states that each concert normally lasts 45–90 minutes and that seating in Skansenmuseet is limited, so tickets should be bought in advance via Julita gård’s events page or julitafestivalen.se. Tickets are free for anyone up to 20 years old according to the festival’s ticket information, and refreshments are available during the interval.
Julita gård is at 643 98 Julita. By public transport, take the train to Katrineholm or Eskilstuna and change to a bus for Julita gård; plan your journey via SJ and Sörmlandstrafiken. If you drive, visitor parking is available at the estate and is paid via the EasyPark or Smart Park app. Charging points are available near the car park.
